Hello! This is the website of Lily Cernak. I am a teacher, translator (JP -> EN), artist, and writer.
I teach classes for all ages (child, teen, and adult) in English (both English as a Second Language (ESL) and English tutoring for native speakers), Japanese, drawing, and graphic novel creation. I teach primarily virtually (via video chat), and also in-person in the Reading and Philly (PA, USA) regions. I schedule private classes as well as classes through the GoggleWorks Center for the Arts, the Art Establishment, the Main Line Art Center, and the Yocum Institute.
I am currently accepting new students (both 1:1 and group classes/workshops), translation work, and art commissions. For more info on my classes, click here or contact me at lilyhanamail@gmail.com.
If you are local to the Reading, PA area, you can stop by my and my father’s studio at the GoggleWorks Center for the Arts! We are number 303.
I am also a blog writer for Kawa Kawa Learning Studio: a site for students learning Japanese, Chinese, or English, which has hundreds of blog posts, reference images, and videos on grammar, vocabulary usage, and so on. If you are studying one of those three languages, you can visit the site by clicking the logo below!
I am working towards this site being a collection of my favorite resources for studying Japanese, English, and for artists. Click the links below to see what I’ve linked so far!
