Classes/Contact Me

Classes FAQ:

Are you currently accepting new students?
Yes! If you’re interested in trying out a class, you can contact me at lilyhanamail@gmail.com.

Do you teach both private and group classes?
Yes! If you prefer 1:1, I can usual get you in my schedule pretty quickly. If you prefer a group, there may sometimes be a short wait if I do not currently have a group running for your age group / topic.

What ages do you teach?
I teach all ages (child, teen, and adult).

What subjects do you currently have available? What proficiency levels are your classes aimed at?
ESL (English as a Second Language) (any level)
English (for native speakers) (any level)
Japanese (any level)
Traditional drawing (beginner through intermediate)
Digital drawing (beginner through intermediate)
Graphic novel creation (any level)
Animation (beginner)

Do you teach virtually?
Yes! I teach primarily virtually (via video chat), and also in-person in the Reading and Philly (PA, USA) regions.

Do you do workshops/presentations for schools or other organizations?
Yes! I am always up for doing workshops and events with schools, community groups, art centers, and other organizations. I will also generally travel farther for limited-run workshops than regular classes.
Additionally, I regularly schedule group classes through the GoggleWorks Center for the Arts, the Art Establishment, the Main Line Art Center, and the Yocum Institute.

What are your prices like?
My 1:1 classes are typically $40/hour, but my pricing is somewhat negotiable.
I also offer less expensive group rates for groups of 2 or more students, if you have a friend, family member, or acquaintance who’d like to take a class with you! I also frequently have several group classes running already, some of which are ongoing and open to new students at any time.
